# Account commands

Super CLI uses an API key from your Schematic account to authenticate requests to Schematic.

## `super login`

Sign in to [platform.schematic.tech](https://platform.schematic.tech) and generate an API key.
Then run `super login` and enter the key when prompted:

**Bash**

```console
$ super login
  ? Schematic API key › [hidden]
  ✓ Logged in as you@example.com
```

Super CLI validates your API key with Schematic and saves it locally for future commands.

## `super logout`

Remove your saved API key from this computer:

**Bash**

```console
$ super logout
  ✓ Logged out
```

Logging out does not revoke the API key, unlink your repositories, cancel checks, or delete results.

## `super usage`

Show your token quota, usage totals, and up to ten recent checks. By default, the report covers
all repositories for the last 30 days. Times are shown in your local time zone.

**Bash**

```console
$ super usage
  Token usage · Sep 24, 8:42 PM · America/New York
  Weekly quota · all repositories · rolling 7 days
  ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━─────  75% remaining · 750M of 1B tokens
| Option              | Meaning                                                                     |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `--period PERIOD`   | Select `today`, `7d`, or `30d` (the default).                               |
| `--repo REPOSITORY` | Filter by repository name or ID. Use `.` for the current linked repository. |
| `--json`            | Print structured output with exact token counts.                            |
For example, `super usage --repo payments --period 7d` shows seven days of activity for `payments`.
If repositories share a name, find their IDs in the `repositories` list from `super usage --json`.
Quota covers all repositories over a rolling seven-day window, regardless of the filters.
Tokens become available as older usage leaves that window.
## Authenticate automated commands
Set the `SUPER_ACCESS_TOKEN` environment variable to your API key to authenticate scripts and CI
without an interactive login. It takes precedence over your saved key.
Commands use this key without saving it, except for `super login`, which validates and saves it locally.
`super logout` does not unset `SUPER_ACCESS_TOKEN`. Unset the variable to stop using it.
See [Automation and JSON](/super/reference/automation/) for structured output and exit codes.
